Good filipino foods . Prices are a bit stiff. Surprise invoice comes with a wow . . . .

Very confusing experience. Food items weren't labeled, and a lot of the dishes were being stored in large trays without proper temperature control. Hopefully we don't get food poisoning from the few Luke warm bites we ate before throwing the meal in the trash.

Food is delicious, specially karekare. Owner was very gracious to take pictures of us. We mentioned one of us is from Pennsylvania and he gave us a treat, cupcakes that are real good. We had a wonderful experience eating there.

The service is really bad. They’re closed at random times, they hardly ever have what you order, and sometimes their number doesn’t even work. They either need a customer service class or hire nicer workers.

We thought this was a buffet. It's not. We are unfamiliar with Philippine food and thought a buffet would be perfect—a taste of this and that to see how we liked it. The staff was unhelpful but another customer explained how it works. The food is on display and you have a choice of one or two items plus rice. None of the choices are labeled, so you can point at what you want and take your chances. The place was busy. The staff looked unfriendly. We had no idea what to order. We left.

My fiancé and went to Cabalen for the first time this morning. The woman working behind the counter was so great! She walked us through each dish so we could choose something we'd like. We each chose multiple items to try. Everything was very different in flavor and very good. They serve a garlic rice that accompanies the dishes that is delish.We love trying new places and new food. This is a place we will happily return to!

Well very disappointed. Went to order a halo halo. Something simple and they can't make just one. And looking at the food it was not appetizing. Don't waste your time coming here. Nothing made fresh to order. Sitting around and high prices.!! Had to go to Vallejo Chow King for my Halo Halo fix.

The Best Filipino Restaurant in Solano County.I have been eating in this restaurant for more than five years. We celebrated our daughter graduation party and my son in this restaurant. We entertained more than 100 guest. We love all the foods, desserts, etc.The owner, the cook, and all the workers were all friendly and approachable.I highly recommend this restaurant to any body. Service is outstanding!

Priced too much for small portions.

I go to this excellent place many times because I enjoy the ambiance that is unique to this restaurant. The personel is highly loving and professional. The service is impressively quick. Most important, the food they cook is outstanding. I frequent many times and I was always happy. The rate is reasobable. I suggest this restaurant to to everybody.

Great place to get traditional Filipino foods. Went there for lumpia ended up leaving with damn near the entire menu

Hidden gem of Filipino goodness, all the entrees were delicious and the kindness of the workers was traditional. Eat there and enjoy unlimited rice with your plate lunch. Very accommodating helping us figure out what was gluten free. It would be perfect if they were to switch their soy sauce to Gluten Free Soy Sauce so the choices would be endless for my wife that has a gluten sensitivity. The desserts were amazing too.

The lumpia is phenomenal and the staff is super nice

False advertisements. I ordered kare kare dish, one of well known Filipino dish, when ask the representative and the chef if there will be Tripe supposedly one of the major part of that dish and answered Yes. Upon receiving the food and served to like 20 guests of mine found out by my guests that there's no Tripe on the dish. I was embarrassed because majority of my guests are pro chef. Instructions also were never been followed.

This morning my wife and I, drove off Folsom, Ca to venture off a restaurant in Fairfield, Ca Cabalen Filipino Cuisine. Since half kapangpangan/Ilocano. I missed the Kapangpangan food and wow I’m glad we came here. Truly a delightful, delicious food and the sureness of it taste. Lots of choices of dishes and the price is reasonable for a couple $$ from $7.99 one entree or $10.99 for 2 entree and come with 2 scoops of rice 🍚😁 they do catering for parties 🎉 too. It’s a must stop if your passing by Fairfield for a great Filipino dish along Interstate 80 east or west either coming from Sacramento or Bay Area. 👍👍🇵🇭

Great food, amazing staff. Veicent is the best! Although like in any store, there is an abundance of idiot customers. Pretending to look at the food choices and slide yourself ahead of other people in a line, hoping no one would notice is dispicable and unethical.Advice- Huwag ninyong dalhin ang kalokohan ninyo sa Pilipinas sa America.

Cabalen is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is fresh, authentic, delicious and the staff is kind, and very generous with the food portions. We like them so much that we hired them to cater our annual FEN Filipino Employee Network Fiesta for several years. I love eating here or taking home lunch or dinner for my family.

I love Pinoy food, but theirs lack the taste of home made dishes.

I just like their dishes. I always get fantastic customer service there. The place is well kept and the staff members are always super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Had a good experience in this place with my kids. The food came fast and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are reasonable.

Omg this food is so amazing. Every time we’ve gotten anything it has been delicious.

What I have eaten so far was very delicious. I believe everyone can attest to the lumpia shanghai. That chicken adobo is the balm. For those if us who suffers with acid reflux, it does not irritate it at all.. Mmmm.. yummy to my tummy.

The employees were very helpful and understanding of my lack of familiarity with some of the dishes offered and had no problem explaining them to me and providing samples. Nevertheless I went for something else to eat that they were sold out of but I didn't leave empty handed and with more choices to choose from in the future, needless to say I'll be returning to this place...
